Meet the Secretariat

Charlotte Marie Uhebe

Secretary-General

Hi everyone!

Dear Delegates! I’m Charlotte Marie, a rising Senior at EARJ Barra, and it is my honor to be the Secretary-General for the 6th edition of RioMUN.

I have had the pleasure of being in MUN for over 3 years, making memories at conferences across Brazil and around the world. Whether as a delegate, Chair, COO, or Secretary-General, I can truly say that MUN has molded me into the person I am today. At first, I thought I was simply joining another club; but those meetings soon turned into conferences, which turned into trips, and eventually became three amazing years of finding my voice and discovering what I was truly passionate about.

My wish for my last MUN is that each of you gets to experience moments as joyful and meaningful as these, and that you, too, may find your own voice and discover what you are passionate about. Maybe one day, you'll move up the ladder and become a Secretary-General for your own conference, or perhaps you will find yourself loving debating and taking home some amazing awards. Whatever path you take, I hope MUN becomes for you what is has been for me: a place for growth, forming unforgettable bonds, and discovering what you're capable of.

In case of any doubts or concerns, you are more than welcome to reach out to myself and your amazing secretariat: we are here to serve you! I speak for all of us when I say we have put our all into ensuring you guys have an amazing weekend of fun, growth, and fruitful debate.

Please reach out at charlottemarieuhebe@gmail.com.

Best of luck, and see you in November!

RioMun was where my MUN journey began and since my first committee in 2021 I knew MUN was something that would become a lasting part of my life, something I could carry on any path I embark in the future. I hope all of you delegates and chairs feel the same way I do about MUN. MUN is not only a place for sparking debates and discussions, but also a place to create unforgettable bonds and experiences. If you think about it, there is truly nothing not to love about MUN, or at least that's what I think.

Mateus Nogueira

Greetings!

My name is Mateus Nogueira, and it is my pleasure and honor to serve as your Chief Operations Officer for the 6th edition of RioMUN!

I am currently a junior at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (Gávea campus). I have participated in MUN since 6th grade, having attended every RioMUN conference as both a chair and a delegate. Having watched so many incredible people work tirelessly to assemble this event, it is finally my turn to carry forward the legacy left by previous Secretariats. I promise to pour my heart and soul into making this conference an unforgettable experience for all delegates and chairs. After all, it is my duty to return the favor that this conference has done for me over the years. It truly feels like home at this point. RioMUN has taught me so much about diplomacy, public speaking, and human connection.

I am eager to meet you all and look forward to a successful RioMUN VI! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at mnogueira@earj.com.br or reach out to any of our amazing Secretariat members.

Hey everyone!

My name is Marcella Peres, and it is an honor to be the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the 6th edition of RioMun!

Currently, I am a junior at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro Gavea and have been participating in MUN conferences for nearly 3 years. It has not only opened doors for me to improve my communication and creativity, but it has also opened doors to new friendships that I cherish until now and has given me more perspective on the global issues that our generation will face or is facing at the moment. Olivia Martins

Press Director

Hello, everyone! My name is Olivia Martins, but most people know me as Lily. I’m currently a sophomore at The British School of Rio de Janeiro, and I’m beyond thrilled to serve as the Press Corps Director for RioMUN V.

From a very young age, my passion for photography and digital editing has always been evident. Sparked by the creativity of my aunt, who is a professional photographer, and fueled during quarantine, when I spent countless hours editing photos of celebrities, my true admiration for the Press Corps grew. What started as a personal hobby has now become something greater, as this incredible Committee gave my passion purpose.

This year, I’ll be working closely with our incredible Deputy Director, Ana Machado, who’s not only my best friend but my biggest inspiration, to document such an amazing conference. Most importantly, I’m here to support and guide each Press delegate to develop their voice, sharpen their skills, and help shape what I’m confident will be an unforgettable RioMUN V.

Can’t wait to see you in RioMUN V!
