Meet the Secretariat
Yasmin Pinto
Secretary-General
Hi everyone!
Dear Delegates! I’m Yasmin, a rising Senior in EARJ Gávea, and it is my honor to be the Secretary-General for the 5th edition of RioMUN. I genuinely trace all my best MUN experiences to RioMUN: whether as a delegate, a chair, or a secretariat member, this conference never disappointed me. I promise to do my best to hold this record and make this edition the best one possible. This edition holds committees meticulously prepared, and whether this is your first or tenth conference, I hope you will all find it academically enticing. But beyond academics and passion for debate, I hope you find the best of friends in this conference, as I sure have. With this being my last MUN, I can say I will cherish my moments in the activity forever, and I hope I can provide you with those same moments to cherish this year. Please never ever hesitate to contact me, we have a great team this year, and it will be our pleasure to help! Outside of MUN, I am a huge film buff, am fascinated by art history, and despite all my love for politics, I wish to become a biochemist. Thus, you will frequently find me in a lab! You will also always find me watching a sitcom as I procrastinate in a near due IB assignment (my favorites are Friends and The Nanny). Best of luck to all of you, and see you in November.
Gustav Duarte
Deputy Secretary-General
Good day everyone!
It is an immense honor to serve as your Under General Secretary under my dear friend Yasmin. I see it as my indispensible duty to uphold and reinforce the key foundations of MUN: Academic excellence, student-led proaction, international awareness and good-faith dialogue. Together, let's create a conference that embodies all of these principles.
I am a Norwegian-Brazilian political activist and aspiring diplomat. I put great care into understanding current world events; never hestitate to strike a conversation with me about any current issues that've been on your mind lately.
In the end, I'm an avid lover of MUN. I love receiving questions from new delegates & leaders, and the opportunity to help you guys out. Please reach out to me should there be any concern.
Let's make this conference an amazing one.
Charlotte Marie Uhebe

Hello everyone!
My name is Charlotte Marie, and it’s a pleasure to be serving as your Chief Operations Officer for the 5th edition of RioMUN!
I am currently a Junior at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (Barra Campus) and have been a part of MUN for over 2 years. This club is close to my heart as it has helped me grow diplomatic skills and meet exceptional individuals along the way. As this edition's COO, I hope this conference will spark newcomers’ interest in debate and even grow seasoned delegates’ love for diplomacy. I am eager to see what I’m sure will be a group of remarkable people in action and provide a helping hand to make this conference a memorable one.

My journey in MUN began a few years ago, also at RIOMUN, as a first-time delegate just like many of you. Since then, MUN has become an important part of my academic and personal growth. Olivia Martins
Press Director
Hello, everyone! My name is Olivia Martins, but most people know me as Lily. I’m currently a sophomore at The British School of Rio de Janeiro, and I’m beyond thrilled to serve as the Press Corps Director for RioMUN V.
From a very young age, my passion for photography and digital editing has always been evident. Sparked by the creativity of my aunt, who is a professional photographer, and fueled during quarantine, when I spent countless hours editing photos of celebrities, my true admiration for the Press Corps grew. What started as a personal hobby has now become something greater, as this incredible Committee gave my passion purpose.
This year, I’ll be working closely with our incredible Deputy Director, Ana Machado, who’s not only my best friend but my biggest inspiration, to document such an amazing conference. Most importantly, I’m here to support and guide each Press delegate to develop their voice, sharpen their skills, and help shape what I’m confident will be an unforgettable RioMUN V.
Can’t wait to see you in RioMUN V!
